Technical Illustrator

Key Responsibilities 27201

• Use PLM applications to create and manage BOM (Bill of Materials) and assembly structures.
• Develop isometric technical illustrations to support component traceability and field identification.
• Create interactive illustrations and component views using Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or Creo Illustrate.
• Understand and reflect engineering changes (ECOs) into assembly and FRU (Field Replaceable Unit) drawings.
• Use tools such as Creo, SolidWorks, and others to trace and explode assemblies.
• Collaborate with Product Support, Engineering, and global teams to resolve part discrepancies.
• Manage technical input from cross-functional teams and ensure documentation is aligned with release cycles.
• Communicate status updates and feedback clearly with global and regional stakeholders.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance document quality, workflow, and user accessibility.
  

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (4-year degree is mandatory).
• 3–5 years of experience in:
• Technical illustration
• Parts catalog authoring
• Preferably in the product engineering/manufacturing domain
• Hands-on experience with at least 1–2 of the following tools:
• Creo
• SolidWorks
• Adobe Illustrator
• Adobe Photoshop
• Creo Illustrate
• Proven ability to develop isometric technical illustrations.
• Strong understanding of assembly and disassembly sequences.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills (only 4–5 rated candidates in communication will be considered).
• Must have experience in or on behalf of a Product Company (services candidates must be on a product client project).
• Minimum 2 years tenure in each prior organization (no job hoppers).
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in engineering change management and documentation processes.
• Familiarity with PLM systems like ENOVIA.
• Prior exposure to semiconductor or high-tech mechanical product documentation.
• Strong project tracking and stakeholder communication skills.
