Job Title: Fixed Income Production Support Engineer Location: Pune, India Corporate Title: AS Role Description The Production Support Engineer acts as a professional in the Global Fixed Income IT support team, providing front line support to the trading and sales business community and their associated applications used by the Global Fixed Income business. Must have skills : Network Security Operations Good to have skills : NAMinimum 5 year(s) of experience is required Educational Qualification : 15 years full time education Summary : Roles & Responsibilities:- Regular Health Checks:Perform routine health assessments of NSX components.Review system logs and alerts for any abnormalities.Patch Management:Apply software updates, patches, and security fixes to NSX Manager, NSX Controllers, and NSX Edge devices.Schedule maintenance windows for patch deployments to minimize disruptions.Configuration Management:Review and optimize NSX configuration settings.Ensure proper alignment with organizational security policies and best practices.Monitoring and Alerting:Set up proactive monitoring tools to track NSX performance metrics.Configure alerts for threshold breaches, network anomalies, and security events.Security Management:Implement and maintain security policies using NSX Distributed Firewall and Service Composer.Regularly review and update security policies to adapt to evolving threats and compliance requirements.Backup and Disaster Recovery:Implement backup solutions for NSX Manager configurations, NSX Controller configurations, and NSX Edge configurations.Test disaster recovery procedures to ensure rapid recovery in the event of a catastrophic failure.Capacity Planning:Monitor resource utilization within NSX environments (e.g., CPU, memory, network bandwidth).Forecast capacity requirements based on growth projections and usage trends.Performance Optimization:Tune NSX configurations to optimize network performance and throughput.Identify and address performance bottlenecks through troubleshooting and optimization techniques.Documentation and Knowledge Sharing:Maintain up-to-date documentation of NSX configurations, policies, and procedures.Provide training and knowledge sharing sessions for IT staff to enhance proficiency in managing NSX environments.Compliance and Auditing:Conduct periodic audits to ensure NSX configurations align with industry standards and regulatory requirements.Remediate any compliance issues identified during audits.Vendor Support and Collaboration:Engage with VMware technical support for assistance with troubleshooting and issue resolution.Stay informed about NSX updates, releases, and best practices through vendor communications and community forums. Professional & Technical Skills: - Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Network Security Operations.- Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts and technologies.- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.- Knowledge of network security principles and best practices.- Familiarity with firewall configurations and intrusion detection systems.- Experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools.- Good To Have Skills: Experience with DevOps tools and practices.- Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell.
