We are seeking a dynamic Salesforce Staff Engineer to serve as a technical leader and architect for our Salesforce platform at ACV. In this role, you will oversee critical initiatives to enhance platform stability, scalability, and performance while driving best practices for Salesforce development, governance, and integration.As a member of the Enterprise Applications leadership team, you will play a pivotal role in establishing a Center of Excellence (COE) for Salesforce, promoting technical standards, and ensuring compliance with enterprise-wide security and lifecycle management policies. Your expertise will guide seamless integrations with internal and external systems, delivering exceptional user experiences that align with our business goals.

What you will do:
- Proactively identify, initiate, resource, and execute on opportunities to improve processes, systems/tools functionality, and knowledge management for optimal delivery
- Develop and implement 2-3 year lifecycle plans for Salesforce tools, addressing business risks and liabilities.
- Influence company-wide Salesforce engineering standards, including tooling, best practices, and build systems.
- Set and enforce standards for technical aspects of Salesforce services, including testing, debugging, stability, performance, and scalability.
- Lead critical initiatives such as CI/CD implementation, automated regression testing, performance optimization, and static code analysis.
- Oversee and develop custom Salesforce integration patterns to address complex software challenges.
- Implement engineering-wide security standards for Salesforce and ensure compliance across business operations
- Actively participate in the Salesforce Center of Excellence (COE) leadership council to shape user experience, adoption, and technology strategy.
- Partner with Salesforce Architects and Integration Engineers to design advanced features and cross-system integrations.
- Mentor and empower less experienced engineers, fostering technical growth and innovation.
- Conduct code reviews, produce high-quality documentation, and build robust test suites.
- Quickly troubleshoot and resolve the most complex platform issues in a dynamic, agile environment.
- Identify infrastructure risks and lead redesign efforts to ensure scalability and support for large data volumes.
- Lead discussions to define requirements for new and existing products, translating business needs into robust technical solutions.

What you will need:
- Bachelors degree in Computer science,Software Engineering, or a related field is typically required
- Application Architect, System Architect, or Certified Technical Architect (CTA) are preferred and highly desirable.
- 10+ years of software engineering experience, specializing in the Salesforce platform, with expertise in modern tech stacks such as Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWCs), Flows, and advanced integration frameworks.
- Experience with cutting-edge Salesforce technologies, including Agentforce for autonomous agents, Salesforce Einstein for AI-driven insights and analytics, and Apache Kafka for real-time data streaming and processing.
- Deep knowledge of Salesforce architecture, governance, and lifecycle management.
- Strong experience with Salesforce Sales Cloud and Service Cloud, including customizations and integrations.
- Proven expertise in DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, mentor engineers, and drive critical technical initiatives.
- Proven experience in migrating and transforming outdated Salesforce technologies to modern stacks like Flows and Lightning Web Components (LWCs), driving platform innovation and scalability.
- Exceptional analytical skills to deliver scalable, high-quality solutions to complex challenges.
- Salesforce certifications such as Application Architect, System Architect, or Certified Technical Architect (CTA) are highly desirable.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders effectively.
- Expertise in designing and developing REST based and Event based Integration systems
- Hands-on experience with mission-critical, high-performance SAAS or cloud-based software systems at scale
- Experience with any of the following: Copado, AutoRABIT, Flosum, GearSet, Salto, Splunk
- Work closely with development staff to resolve build problems/merge conflicts.
- Identify infrastructure risks and lead redesign efforts to ensure scalability and support for large data volumes.
