Social Science Teacher

This is a relocation post to Kasaragod District in Kerala State

Job Summary:

We are seeking a passionate and qualified Social Science Teacher to join our high school faculty. The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of History, Geography, Political Science, and Economics, and must be capable of delivering engaging lessons that promote critical thinking, curiosity, and a deeper understanding of society. Fluency in English and effective classroom communication are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver well-structured lessons in Social Science subjects for Grades 8 to 10, as per the prescribed curriculum.
• Use varied teaching methods, including project work, discussions, case studies, and digital tools to enrich learning.
• Evaluate and assess students’ progress through tests, assignments, and class participation.
• Create a positive learning environment that fosters respect, curiosity, and discipline.
• Prepare students for internal and board examinations.
• Maintain accurate records of student performance and report periodically to parents and school leadership.
• Participate actively in school events, co-curricular activities, and department meetings.
• Encourage student-led learning and support individual academic needs.
• Uphold school values and maintain high professional and ethical standards.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Educational Qualification:

B.A. / M.A. in History, Geography, Political Science, or related Social Sciences
with B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) – mandatory

• Experience:

Minimum 2–3 years of teaching experience at the high school level is preferred.

• Excellent command over spoken and written English – essential
• Strong classroom management and student engagement abilities
• Ability to use modern teaching aids and technology
• A collaborative mindset and willingness to grow professionally
• Passionate about working with adolescents and shaping young minds
