Role: Senior Data Platform Engineer

AI Engineering and Solutions

About the Job

Senior Data Platform Engineer

What You’ll Do

Design, develop, and maintain
real-time and batch data pipelines
using
Apache Kafka
,
PySpark
, and
Spark Streaming
.
Optimize data flows and processing performance on
distributed systems
.
Implement and manage data
quality checks, monitoring, alerting
, and
logging
.
Participate in architectural discussions to
build scalable
and
cost-effective
solutions.
Ensure the
security, availability,
and
reliability
of data pipelines in production.

What You’ll Need

Must Have:

Strong hands-on experience with
Apache Kafka
,
PySpark
, and
Spark Streaming
.
Experience working with large-scale
distributed data processing
systems.
Proficiency in
SQL, NoSQL
and
data modeling
for analytics and ETL/ELT workflows.
Deep understanding of
data architecture principles
, including real-time vs. batch processing.
Experience in Microservice development, CI/CD pipelines
Experience with any cloud platform (
Azure
,
AWS
,
GCP
).
Familiarity with orchestration tools (e.g.,
Airflow
,
Dagster, Glue
) is an advantage.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Deep understanding of
data architecture principles
, including real-time vs. batch processing.

Nice to Have:

Experience with
Delta Lake
,
Iceberg
, or similar data lake technologies.
Exposure to
Git
and
Shell Script
.
Knowledge of
data security, governance, and compliance
practices.

Basic Qualifications

Engineering Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. 3–5 years of experience in data engineering.
