Senior Accountant

Desirable Qualification
Post - graduate / Professional degree in a related field such as chartered accountancy, cost and works accountancy or cost management accountancy is preferred.

Essential Qualification
Graduate Degree in any Commerce, accounting or there related technical discipline with aggregate 55% marks.

• Minimum of 10 year of relevant work experience in an accounts function.
• Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures of School, Colleges or University.
• Working knowledge of TDS and other statuary remittances.
• Hands on experience with accounting software like Tally & MS Excel Software's.
• Has experience in working with Fees Management Software in school, colleges and University settings.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Including Advance Functions.
• Experience in fees collection and fees follow up from student and gradians.

Responsibilities

• Maintain books of accounts: record day-to-day transactions like receipts, payments, vouchers, and journal entries.
• Fee Collection & receipts: Handle student fee collection, issue receipts, and update fee registers and ensure accurate reconciliation in fee collection management software.
• Bank work: Prepare cheques, make bank deposits, and reconcile bank statements.
• Vendor Payments: Process invoices, prepare payment vouchers, get approvals, and maintain payment records.
• Reconciliations: Reconcile fee collections, bank accounts, petty cash, and vendor accounts regularly.
• Deduct TDS where applicable, prepare documentation for TDS returns.
• Maintain records: Keep Proper filing of bills, vouchers, and supporting documents for audit.
• Reporting & MIS: Prepare daily / weekly collection reports. And also Generate reports on outstanding fees, dues and defaulters list.
• Petty cash & expenses: Handle Petty cash, maintain petty cash book.
• Taxation: Ensure timely calculation, deduction, and filing of TDS.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹22,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
