Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Library Management:
Oversee the operation of the school library, including cataloging, inventory, budgeting, and acquisition of books and digital resources.
Maintain an organized, welcoming, and inclusive library environment.
Manage and supervise student and volunteer library aides.
Instructional Support:
Collaborate with teachers to plan and deliver lessons that integrate library and information literacy skills.
Teach students how to access, evaluate, and use information effectively and ethically.
Support the development of reading and research skills across all grade levels.
Technology Integration:
Promote and support the use of educational technology and digital literacy.
Provide training for staff and students on the use of library software, databases, and research tools.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Library Science, Education, or a related field (Master’s in Library Science or MLIS preferred).
Experience working in a school or educational setting preferred.
Proficiency with library systems, educational databases, and instructional technologies.

Skills and Competencies:

Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
Passion for reading, literacy, and education.
Ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and parents.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹29,000.00 per month
