Primary
Skills:
  • SCCM administration, infrastructure management and SCCM client troubleshootingExperience in managing infrastructure - Windows OS, SQL DatabaseGood knowledge of scripting and development e.g. VB script, PowerShell
  • Secondary Skill:Knowledge in Storage, and Network TechnologiesKnowledge of Service management techniques including incident, problem, change, release management
  • JD: Perform MECM infrastructure upgrades, configuration, support, and maintenance. Take lead to drive other teams for new initiatives related to MECM. Provide 16.5 x 7 support on MECM service following a global Rota and follow-the-sun support. Proactively plan and manage the upgrade of MECM servers and MECM clients. Perform performance tuning and capacity planning for MECM infrastructure. Troubleshooting of incidents, including joining crisis call and working with teams and vendors for a resolution. Adhere to internal process to support the service, including change management, and incident management policy. Responsible for the troubleshooting of incidents, including joining crisis call and working with teams and vendors for a resolution. Ensures that MECM infrastructure meets the service availability metrics by monitoring MECM and Adaptiva services, client healthiness, performance tuning and capacity planning & troubleshooting advanced MECM related issues. Perform pro-active analysis on day-to-day work to obtain automation on deliveries thereby reducing repetitive and standardized tasks/processes. Automate processes wherever possible/feasible. Ensure appropriate documentation is created or kept up to date.
  • Knowledge, Experience & Qualifications: 4 to 7 years of relevant IT experience, with minimum 4 years of strong MECM knowledge with proven experience in supporting MECM infrastructure & Windows OS in large enterprise environment. Experience in managing infrastructure - Windows OS, SQL Database In-depth knowledge in Windows server and desktop OS, WSUS and SQL server. Knowledge in Storage, and Network Technologies Good knowledge of scripting and development e.g. VB script, PowerShell CCM Client installation workflow & troubleshooting server logs and client logs. Software Package/Application deployment workflow & troubleshooting server logs and client logs. MECM Server policies creation, workflow and Server and Client level troubleshooting with Logs flow Software update/ patching deployment workflow & troubleshooting server logs and client logs. Software and Hardware Inventory workflow & troubleshooting server logs and client logs. DCM, assets compliance baseline creation, deployment, workflow and troubleshooting server logs and client logs. Familiar with workflow of MECM/MECM content distribution, troubleshooting skills to resolve the content distribution issues. Basic knowledge on OS deployment, build process and troubleshooting server logs and client logs. Basic knowledge on DRS or SQL replication and understand Multi level MECM hierarchy. Extensive hands-on experience in SQL query writing to fetch the customized inventory reports. Basic knowledge of PowerShell Script Experience in supporting Adaptiva would be an added advantage. Effective and clear communication skills (written, oral and listening), with ability to describe complex technical scenarios in a concise manner depending on the audience. Proven ability to work across geographies and time zones with a variety of teams. Strong sense of ownership & urgency, ability to prioritize, attention to detail, flexibility, sense of vigilance & adherence to all compliance procedures & policies. Knowledge of Service management techniques including incident, problem, change, release management Ability to work under stress to deliver projects and handle critical system incidents.
  • Working Hours Candidates are expected to have a flexible approach in working and often required to work in shifts (including 16.5x7) and weekends. Regular working days are from Mon to Fri or 5 days working depending upon the shift ROTA. Candidates are required to be able provide on call support during weekends or non-business hours based on Rota.
