Job Description

Your role at Micron Technology involves assuming management responsibility for Disaster Recovery planning efforts, with a focus on ensuring the adequacy of contingency plans for critical business areas, functions, and applications. You will work closely with business unit management to enhance disaster recovery plans, aiming to mitigate the impact of technology system or application failures. Your key objectives include enabling business units to manage assets effectively, meet regulatory obligations, and uphold their presence in the marketplace. As part of your responsibilities, you will provide direct communication between the BCP/Crisis Management Team, IT DR Stakeholders, Incident Response Teams, ITLT & Business Users. Additionally, you will participate in business unit and development planning meetings, facilitating the timely identification, escalation, resolution, and follow-up of outstanding issues. You will play a leadership role in developing comprehensive contingency plans and validation methodologies to ensure Micron's ability to recover in the event of disruptions. Your role will also involve performing various job duties such as metrics gathering, planning, testing, documentation, and providing Disaster Recovery Planning documentation and training to employees. You will conduct periodic reviews and tests of established Disaster Recovery plans, reporting findings to management and making recommendations for improvements as necessary. To excel in this role, you should have 2-5 years of experience and a background in team environments related to Business Impact Analysis projects and ITDR program work. You should possess a sound knowledge of Information and operational technologies, information security practices, and have experience in conducting risk assessments and impact analysis work. Additionally, you should understand the relationship between business impact analysis, risk assessments, and IT disaster recovery plan development. Preferred skills for this role include a combination of IT disaster recovery and business continuity concepts knowledge. Experience in planning, leading, organizing, and controlling IT system-related projects for the enterprise is also desirable.
