Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Work closely with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to understand product requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage
Design, develop, and maintain manual and automated test cases
Perform end-to-end, regression, smoke, and exploratory testing across web and backend services
Build and maintain automated test frameworks using Playwright or Cypress
Write clean and maintainable test scripts in TypeScript
Identify, document, and track bugs and issues clearly
Validate backend data using complex SQL queries
Contribute to Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups
Review requirements and test cases, providing feedback for continuous improvement

Requirements

4+ years of experience in software QA (manual + automation)
Mandatory : Strong hands-on experience with TypeScript
Solid experience with Playwright or Cypress for automation testing
Deep understanding of QA methodologies and best practices
Proficient in writing and maintaining SQL queries (MySQL, PostgreSQL)
Experience with REST API testing using tools like Postman or REST Assured
Familiarity with Jira or similar test/bug management tools
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication skills in English
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
Self-starter with a strong sense of ownership for product quality

Note

TypeScript experience is mandatory
Have experience with Playwright or Cypress (ref:hirist.tech)
