Provides telephonic or chat support to clients when required. Executes approved maintenance activities including patching and configuration changes. Follows the required handover procedures for shift changes to ensure service continuity. Reports and escalates incidents where necessary. Ensures the efficient and comprehensive resolutions of incidents and requests. Proactively identifies opportunities for work optimization. Updates existing knowledge articles or creates new ones. Identifies opportunities for work optimization including opportunities for automation of work, request fulfilment, incident resolution, and other general process improvement opportunities. May also contribute to / support on project work as and when required. May work on implementing and delivering Disaster Recovery functions and tests. Performs any other related task as required. The Role Of Cloud Network Engineer Includes Scaling cloud services to growing businesses. Troubleshoot any issues which may arise. Liaising with companies to determine growth plans. Monitoring usage of cloud network. Implement effective security strategies on networks. Build CICD pipeline for Infrastructure as a Code and Network as a Code, based on Ansible, Terraform, AWS cloud formation and Azure Resource Manager template. Responsible for the configuration and support of backbones connection over DirectConnect (AWS), ExpressRoute (Azure), and an array of direct BPE connection handled over CSR1000. Utilize approved tools to verify and take required action on events aggregated from network monitoring tools and Web Application Firewall. Responsible for solving network connectivity issues, adding/modifying NAT entries and firewall rules to enable connectivity. Provide network configuration support and document client requirements. Work with clients to ensure that data flow diagrams are accurately completed to provide exact network connectivity. Coordinate required changes working alongside other network and firewall teams. Support Cloud Architects to provide operations and migration services that allow organizations/clients to style the availability and delivery of cloud computing services following business and technical requirements. Responsible for the upgrade, installation, and configuration of monitoring solution for AWS, Windows, and Linux servers. Provide report on current infrastructure status and plan for future usage. Working closely with managers on new and existing projects and gain a comprehensive understanding of their environments. Minimum Qualifications For Cloud Network Engineer Minimum of 2 years of experience in AWS VPCs, AWS Firewalls, or other Cloud Network related services. Knowledge of IaC: Ansible, Terraform, AWS Cloud formation, Azure RM template. Solid understanding of client/server, networking, and Internet technologies. Knowledge of networking technologies such as TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPBGP, MPLS VPNs, VxLAN, Multicast. Knowledge on Cloud Networking and Security best practices: Public (AWS and Azure) and Private (Kubernetes) Cloud Technologies is desirable. Experience with Linux networking configuration and tuning. Knowledge of network automation.
