Job Overview
TE Connectivity's Procurement Business Process Teams develop and deploy procurement processes, systems, reporting and audits compliance. They drive continuous improvement throughout the procurement function, develop and maintain procurement systems, tools and databases such as vendor master files, e-procurement quotation tool, procurement web page, supplier portal, SharePoint and the like. They conduct regular external benchmarking to stay abreast of procurement best practices, run procurement reports and perform analysis to identify trends, opportunities, threats and needed course correction as well as lead facilitation of procurement training and development.

Roles & Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Procurement Transformation Senior Manager in the DDN Procurement Team, the Procurement Manager Supplier Agility and Resilience will be leading the development of and execution of strategies to optimize supplier lead times / MOQs / inventories as well as identify and mitigate supplier risks.The role requires the ability to effectively collaborate and partner with DDN Business Unit Procurement, Supply Chain, Engineering and Operations teams to drive an aligned supplier agility and responsiveness strategy.Analyse and understand current lead time drivers (vendor sourcing, production, freight etc.).Identify bottlenecks and lead cross-functional efforts (supplier, logistics, procurement, supply chain) to reduce lead timeCo-develop JIT or consignment or pull-based replenishment models, where applicableDrive TEOA efforts with suppliers in collaboration with TE teams to identify and execute structural improvementsProvide support for localization efforts in terms of program management, market mapping and governanceDefine and negotiate lead time-related Service Level Agreements (SLAs).Ensure contracts include terms that promote flexibility, responsiveness, and visibilitySupport the risk resilience program for Upstream and develop mitigation plans with required governanceDevelop dual sourcing, safety stock, or expedited freight strategies in collaboration with suppliersCultivate and strengthen the TEOA MindsetWork in accordance with TE processes, values & behaviours
Required Skills and Competency
Minimum Bachelors degree, preferably in engineering related courseMBA is a plusAt least 8 years of experience in a global or regional Procurement and / or Supply Chain role with experience in Industrial electronics / manufacturing (preferred)Broad commodity knowledge of semi-conductors, PCB, PCBA and electronic components (preferred)Knowledge of global electronics sourcingStrong negotiation skillsStrong understanding of role and application of data analytics insightsPrevious experience with working on initiatives linked to upstream supply chain agility responsiveness efficiency inventoryExcellent communication skills with the ability to communicate to people at all levels of the organisation in both commercial and technical rolesAbility to influence othersExcellent problem-solving and analytical skillsStrong project management skills and ability to multi-taskAbility to work in a matrix environment with multi-cultural teamsAbility to demonstrate strong customer focus and continuous improvement attitudeAbility to form successful working relationships quickly at all levelsAbility to prioritize and manage complexity in a fast-paced environmentAbility to meet demanding deadlines and task prioritization.Continuous improvement mindsetFluent in English both written and spokenOther languages are a plusTimezone flexibility and ability to travel internationally
