Key responsibilities of a mutual fund manager: Investment Strategy: Developing and implementing the investment strategy for the fund, including deciding what types of assets to include (e.g., stocks, bonds, etc.) and how to allocate them. Security Selection: Researching and selecting individual securities (stocks, bonds, etc.) to be included in the portfolio, based on market analysis and economic trends. Portfolio Management: Regularly monitoring the fund's performance, adjusting the portfolio as needed to maintain alignment with the investment objectives, and managing risk. Risk Management: Implementing strategies to mitigate risk, such as diversifying the portfolio and using hedging techniques. Reporting and Communication: Providing regular reports to investors on the fund's performance and explaining the investment strategy.
