Job Description

As Manager, Monitoring and Evaluation, you will be responsible for:

Setting strategy for monitoring and evaluation for the Selection process (10%)

  • Setting a bold, ambitious and exciting vision for how the Selection model can be implemented with fidelity.
  • Working towards reducing Type I and Type II errors through innovation and automation.
  • Thought partnering with the Director, Fellowship Selection, Senior Manager, Fellowship Selection Operations and Implementation, and Manager, Research and Operations towards the broader vision for the Fellowship Selection team.

Overseeing the fidelity and accuracy of the model implementation (30%)

  • Driving the team to ensure that each stage of the selection process is implemented within the set timeframe, with a focus on the accuracy and efficiency of the decisions we make, via effective monitoring and evaluation systems (such as audits, checks, scrutiny, etc).
  • Studying the aforementioned decisions on an ongoing basis to understand and contribute to the evolution of our process; making meaning of the Selection by means of reporting and analysis.
  • Managing the data and Salesforce systems end to end, from the application form to the transfer of final insights to the matriculation and training and impact teams.

Executing the Selection model (60%)

  • Reviewing applications, conducting phone interviews, and selecting at Assessment Centres while being a Point of Contact (PoC) for Staff and Alumni selectors/reviewers.
  • Providing applicants with a state-of-the-art experience at different stages of the selection process.

Collaborating internally and externally towards achieving Selection team s goals

  • With the Senior Manager, Fellowship Selection Operations and Implementation, Manager, Research and Operations, and the Manager, Applicant Experience towards achieving the Selection team goals and vision.

As a People Manager

  • Building a robust

    pipeline of talent

    to lead the organization.
  • Managing and coaching

    the team to ambitious outcomes.
  • Driving

    engagement, growth, and retention

    of team members.
  • Engineering and overseeing a

    monitoring and evaluation system

    , coupled with strategic direction, to guide our abilities to continuously improve.

As a Manager at Teach For India, you will be responsible for:

  • Contributing to

    the team goals and priorities

    beyond individual goals and priorities.
  • Serving as an

    ambassador of the Teach For India brand

    and an advocate for our work and for educational equity in our country through both internal and external communication after commiting time in our classrooms to understand our work more deeply.
  • Supporting with key organizational areas such as

    Recruitment, Selection, Fundraising, Volunteering, Movement Building.
