Logistics Operations Manager

As an Operations Manager for Logistics at our MNC company located in Chakan, Pune, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the logistics hub. Your role will involve managing both inbound (first mile) and outbound (last mile) activities to ensure timely dispatch and delivery of shipments while maintaining high service quality. You will lead a team of delivery executives, sorting staff, and transport coordinators, providing supervision to optimize vehicle routing, load planning, and delivery scheduling. Coordinating with transport vendors, courier partners, and clients will be essential for smooth operations. Additionally, you will handle manpower planning, shift scheduling, and training for operations staff, ensuring compliance with safety, security, and regulatory guidelines. Maintaining MIS reports, tracking shipments, and monitoring hub performance metrics will be part of your responsibilities. It will be crucial to promptly address delivery issues, exceptions, and customer escalations while driving continuous improvement in process efficiency and cost control. To be successful in this role, you should hold a graduate degree or above, preferably in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Operations Management, and have at least 4 years of experience in logistics operations, hub management, or transportation handling. Strong leadership, team management, and communication skills are essential, along with a good understanding of first mile & last mile logistics processes. Proficiency in Excel and logistics management systems will also be beneficial.
