Job Description

Key Responsibilities :

Technical Leadership: Lead the design, development, and deployment of complex Ruby on Rails applications and microservices
Act as a technical authority, providing guidance and making critical architectural decisions
Team Mentorship & Growth: Mentor and coach a team of Ruby developers, fostering their technical growth, conducting code reviews, and promoting a culture of high-quality code and continuous improvement
Architectural Vision: Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineering leads to define technical requirements, architectural patterns, and system designs that align with business goals and scalability needs
Coding & Development: Write clean, maintainable, efficient, and well-tested Ruby/Rails code
Troubleshoot and debug complex issues across the application stack
Performance & Scalability: Optimize existing systems for maximum speed, scalability, and stability
Identify and address performance bottlenecks
Best Practices: Champion and enforce coding standards, development best practices (eg, TDD/BDD, clean architecture, SOLID principles), and secure coding guidelines
Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with front-end developers, DevOps, and QA engineers to ensure seamless integration and deployment of features
Strategic Input: Contribute to the overall technical roadmap and strategy of the engineering department
