Key Responsibilities: Plan, organize, and manage the day-to-day operations of the factory, ensuring smooth and efficient production workflows. Supervise production activities across key departments including cutting, assembling, edge-banding, finishing, and on-site installation of modular and custom furniture units. Monitor and manage production schedules, resource allocation (manpower, machines, and materials), and deadlines to ensure on-time project delivery. Ensure strict adherence to design specifications, quality standards, and implement corrective actions and continuous improvement strategies as needed. Coordinate closely with internal teams including design, procurement, logistics, and project execution to align factory output with project timelines and customer expectations. Maintain accurate inventory of raw materials, tools, fittings, and consumables, and work with suppliers to ensure timely procurement and uninterrupted production. Enforce health and safety protocols across the facility and ensure compliance with statutory and company safety regulations. Collaborate with HR to recruit, train, and manage factory staff while promoting a disciplined, performance-oriented, and team-driven work culture. Optimize operational efficiency through cost control measures, process improvement, waste reduction, and effective use of technology and equipment. Ensure timely maintenance and optimal performance of all machinery including CNC, panel saws, and edge banding equipment. Qualifications & Skills: Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Production, or related field. Minimum 5+ years of experience in managing production operations in furniture manufacturing and modular interiors. Strong knowledge of materials (wood, laminates, hardware, etc.) and manufacturing techniques (CNC, edge-banding, panel processing, etc.). Proven ability to lead teams and manage large-scale production units. Proficiency in MS Office, ERP systems, and production management tools. Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Preferred: Experience with lean manufacturing, Kaizen, or Six Sigma practices. Prior exposure to project-based modular interior manufacturing for commercial/residential clients.
