Thyme and Whisk is one of Surat's top vegetarian restaurants, specializing in fusion food. It is the perfect spot for families and friends to celebrate important events or enjoy a hearty meal. The restaurant offers a variety of unique and reimagined cuisines including Indian, Mexican, Continental, Pan-Asian, and many others.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Junior Sous Chef located in Nashik. The Junior Sous Chef will assist in preparing and cooking meals, managing kitchen staff, and ensuring the quality and presentation of dishes. They will also help in menu planning, maintaining inventory, and ensuring kitchen safety and hygiene standards. Daily tasks include food preparation, assisting with training junior kitchen staff, and collaborating with the head chef to innovate new dishes.

Qualifications

Proficiency in a variety of cuisines including Indian, Mexican, Continental, and Pan-Asian
Experience in menu planning and kitchen management
Strong skills in food preparation, cooking techniques, and presentation
Understanding of kitchen safety and hygiene practices
Excellent teamwork and communication skills
Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure environment
Culinary degree or relevant certification is a plus
Previous experience in a similar role is beneficial
