IPR Litigation - Associate

Hiring for IPR Litigation - Associate at Delhi location

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented IP Litigation Associate to join our Intellectual Property practice. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in science or engineering and a passion for patent law. You will be responsible for handling contentious patent matters including oppositions, appeals, infringement suits, and revocation proceedings before the High Courts and the Indian Patent Office.

Key Accountabilities:

• Represent clients in patent infringement suits, revocation petitions, and appeals before High Courts and IPAB (or its successor).
• Draft and file pre-grant and post-grant oppositions before the Indian Patent Office.
• Conduct legal research, analyze technical specifications, and interpret patent claims.
• Collaborate with technical experts to understand the nuances of inventions and technologies.
• Prepare litigation documents including pleadings, written statements, evidence, and briefs.
• Advise clients on IP strategy, risk assessment, and enforcement mechanisms.
• Stay updated on developments in Indian and international patent law.

Desired Skills and Competencies:

• Registered Patent Agent (preferred but not mandatory).
• Experience in handling cross-border IP disputes or working with international clients.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases

Experience and Education:

Education:

• LL.B. from a recognized university; enrollment with a State Bar Council.
• BSc/BTech in a relevant field (e.g., biotechnology, electronics, computer science, mechanical, etc.).

Experience:

• 1-2 years of experience in IP litigation, preferably with exposure to patent matters.
• Strong drafting and analytical skills.
• Familiarity with the Patents Act, 1970, and Patent Rules, 2003.
• Ability to interpret complex technical documents and legal provisions.
