Job Description

  • Developing and implementing menu items that reflect the cuisine, style, and atmosphere of the restaurant.
  • Supervising the kitchen staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and evaluating employees.
  • Ensuring that the kitchen operates efficiently and effectively, with a focus on food quality, presentation, and customer satisfaction.
  • Monitoring food costs and controlling expenses, such as ingredient and equipment purchases, to ensure profitability.
  • Maintaining inventory levels, ordering supplies, and ensuring that the kitchen is well-stocked with the necessary ingredients and equipment.
  • Collaborating with front-of-house staff, such as servers and bartenders, to ensure that the customer experience is seamless and enjoyable.
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with suppliers, local food purveyors, and other industry professionals to secure the best ingredients and products for the restaurant.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
