About the Role

Responsibilities

• Monitor and enforce compliance with local, national, and international HSE laws and standards.
• Conduct regular site inspections, safety audits, and risk assessments.
• Investigate incidents, near-misses, and accidents; prepare detailed reports and recommend corrective actions.
• Conduct safety induction and training for new employees and subcontractors.
• Develop and implement HSE policies, procedures, and emergency response plans.
• Ensure the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe work practices.
• Maintain records of safety incidents, inspections, permits, and training.
• Coordinate with supervisors and managers to resolve HSE issues.
• Promote a culture of safety awareness across the organization.
• Liaise with external bodies such as regulatory authorities and emergency services when required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or related field.
• NEBOSH / IOSH or equivalent HSE certification.
• 3+ years of experience in a similar HSE role (construction, oil & gas, manufacturing, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of relevant safety legislation and industry standards.
• Good communication, report writing, and investigation skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in MS Office and HSE reporting tools.
