About the client: INDOSOL Solar Private Limited (ISPL) is a Special Project Vehicle (SPV) of Shirdi Sai Electricals Limited (SSEL), who is a leading Indian Conglomerate (Manufacturing B2B) in Transformer manufacturing, headquartered in Hyderabad. Having qualified in PLI (Production linked incentive) scheme through MNRE, Government of India is keenly materializing to set-up 10GW Integrated PV manufacturing for the entire value chain (Polysilicon, ingot, wafer, cell, Module & Glass manufacturing).
Objectives of this role:
- Planning, coordinating and managing all phases of construction projects, including design verification, planning and execution
- Establishing project objectives, scope and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders and ensuring alignment with management.
- Developing and managing project schedules, budgets and resource allocations to ensure cost efficiency and timely delivery.
- Liaising with architects, engineers, contractors and subcontractors to monitor construction progress, resolve issues and ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards.
- Conducting regular site inspections to assess project progress, identify risks, and ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain effective communication with project team members and stakeholders to provide project updates, address concerns and foster strong working relationships.
- To understand the project drawings for RCC design, steel structures, pile foundations, pre-engineered building (PEB), and equipment foundations to ensure the construction work as per the approved design and drawing for all phases of engineering construction relating to Civil, structural, and infrastructure works.
- Plan and coordinate all aspects of the project construction process with the EPC contractor.
- Perform all daily inspections and tests under the scope to accomplish the quality of construction indicated in the drawings/specifications for all works performed by the contractor.
- Carry out inspection and checking for all quality measures and ensures the work methodology adopted at the site is as per approved Field quality (FQP) and method statement.
- Review the topographical survey, and geotechnical report and assess the requirement of infrastructure as per site conditions and provide the necessary inputs to the SEI design team so as to modify the drawings if required.
- Timely submission of weekly progress report (WPR), Non-conformity report (NCR), and site observation report (SOR) to Management.
- Produce project schedules and updates suited to accomplish contract requirements to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment to support construction activities.
- Daily monitoring of construction progress, considering quality concerns and ensuring job site safety considerations are addressed.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all civil engineering projects
- Ensure all projects adhere to safety standards and regulations
- Coordinate with various departments to ensure projects are completed on time

- Oversee construction activities and ensure adherence to plans
- Coordinate with architects, contractors, and stakeholders
- Provide technical guidance and problem-solving during project execution
- Manage, design, develop, create and maintain small-scale through to large-scale construction projects in a safe, timely and sustainable manner
- Conduct on site investigations and analyze data (maps, reports, tests, drawings and other)
- Carry out technical and feasibility studies and draw up blueprints that satisfy technical specifications
- Assess potential risks, materials and costs
- Provide advice and resolve creatively any emerging problems/deficiencies
- Oversee and mentor staff and liaise with a variety of stakeholders
- Handle over the resulting structures and services for use
- Comply with guidelines and regulations including permits, safety etc and deliver technical files and other technical documentation as required
- Excellent knowledge of design and visualizations software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D or similar
- Proficiency in site layout, grading, utility design, erosion control, regulatory approvals etc

- Ensuring job sites are vacated and secured each night
- Developing and bidding on proposals and maintenance plans for the structure before implementation
- Managing and hiring contractors, subcontractors, and structural engineers as needed to ensure budget and timeline adherence
- Enhancing dialogue between key stakeholders, such as city council members and civilian assembly members, by providing regular updates
- Filing reports at each project milestone, informing the city inspectors office so that regular evaluations can be conducted
- Monitoring project completion status and presenting progress reports at the end of each quarter
- Make sure the project complies with legal requirements, especially health and safety
- Prepare public reports, such as property and right-of-way descriptions, bid proposals, and environmental impact statements.
Required skills and qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field.
- Atleast 12-15+ years of relevant experience in construction project management, with a track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, building codes and safety regulations in the Indian context.
- Excellent project management skills, including effective planning, organising and prioritising tasks.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical documents, including project blueprints and construction schematics.
- Strong communication skills to manage project teams and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in construction management software, project scheduling tools and cost estimation software.
- Familiarity with sustainable construction practices and green building certifications.
- Experience in budgeting, costing, benchmarking and procurement strategies to get the best cost as per industry standards.
Preferred skills and qualifications:
- Relevant professional certification in project management or construction management, like Project Management Professional (PMP) or LEED certification.
- Knowledge of risk management and budget management principles.
- Experience in managing large-scale construction projects in India.
- Knowledge of local construction regulations, permits and approval processes.
- Proficiency in using Building Information Modelling (BIM) software.
- Experience with construction contract negotiations and claims management.
- Strong experience in negotiations, contractual & overall procurement philosophy in construction industry
- Familiarity with lean construction principles and methodologies.
- Strong financial understanding and experience in project budgeting and cost control.
Ideal candidates must have experience in handling civil projects related to Admin building, canteen, Roads, warehouse, ETP, STP, WTP, RO, UPW, Gas/chemical yards, LNG complex, solar cell-ingot-wafer buildings, deep piling works, desalination plants, etc
