Job Description

Job Title: Event Manager Department: Marketing / Operations / Public Relations Reports to: Senior Management / Director of Events Job Summary: The Event Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, and executing events from start to finish according to requirements, target audience, and objectives. They ensure that events are successful and cost-effective, paying attention to budget and time constraints. Key Roles and Responsibilities: Event Planning & Coordination: Understand event requirements and objectives from stakeholders. Create detailed event plans and timelines. Coordinate all event operations including venue, catering, décor, transportation, and logistics. Budget Management: Prepare budgets and ensure adherence. Negotiate with vendors and suppliers to optimize cost without compromising quality. Team & Vendor Management: Lead internal teams and delegate responsibilities. Hire and coordinate with external partners such as caterers, decorators, AV technicians, and security. Marketing & Promotion: Promote events through social media, email campaigns, ads, and offline marketing. Coordinate with the marketing team for branding and promotion strategies. On-Site Event Management: Oversee the setup, running, and teardown of the event. Handle unexpected issues and last-minute changes calmly and professionally. Client & Guest Management: Liaise with clients to ensure satisfaction. Ensure high-quality guest experience and resolve any guest concerns. Post-Event Activities: Conduct post-event evaluations and prepare reports. Gather feedback and analyze success factors and areas for improvement. Preferred Experience: Experience in managing corporate events, weddings, trade shows, product launches, or conferences. Proficiency in event management software (e.g., Cvent, Eventbrite, Trello). Strong network of vendors and service providers.
