Engineer / Sr Engineer- SQA

You will be working as an Engineer / Sr Engineer- SQA at Simpleenergy, located in Krishnagiri, Hosur. As a highly motivated Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) specializing in mechanical parts, your primary responsibility will be to manage and improve supplier performance to ensure the quality of purchased mechanical components. You will collaborate cross-functionally with procurement, engineering, and manufacturing teams to develop suppliers and ensure that components meet required specifications and industry standards, particularly in Casting forging, machining + Prop. parts. To be successful in this role, you are expected to: - Develop, implement, and maintain supplier quality assurance procedures and standards for mechanical parts. - Conduct supplier audits (initial, process, product, and system) as well as capability assessments. - Collaborate with suppliers on PPAP, AOI, DVP / PVP, and APQP submissions and evaluations. - Review drawings, GD&T, and material specifications for manufacturability and quality compliance. - Provide technical guidance to suppliers on casting, forging, and machining processes. - Drive root cause analysis and corrective action implementation for supplier-related quality issues using methodologies such as 8D, 5Why, Fishbone, etc. - Monitor supplier performance using KPIs and implement improvement plans as needed. - Ensure compliance with industry standards such as ISO 9001, IATF 16949, or AS9100. - Interface with engineering, procurement, and manufacturing teams to efficiently resolve quality issues. The ideal candidate for this role should possess skills in: - In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes like CNC machining, casting, welding, and forming. - Strong understanding of GD&T, drawing interpretation, and metrology. - Experience with PPAP, APQP, FMEA, and control plans. - Proficiency in quality tools such as 8D, DMAIC, SPC, MSA. - Familiarity with ERP systems and quality management software. - Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. Additionally, exposure to software/tools/systems like Minitab, Excel, PowerPoint, JIRA, and SAP will be beneficial for this position.,
