In the role of a Redis Engineer within the Data Movement team, you will be responsible for installing, configuring, maintaining, and providing production support for Redis instances, including standalone and clustered setups. Your duties will involve automating operational tasks to ensure high availability, performance, and scalability of Redis deployments. You will collaborate closely with development and operations teams to optimize data storage, caching, and real-time messaging performance. Key Responsibilities: - Install, configure, and maintain Redis in development, testing, and production environments. - Monitor and troubleshoot Redis-related production issues to ensure system reliability and performance. - Design and implement high-availability and disaster recovery strategies for Redis deployments. - Develop automation scripts and tools to streamline Redis infrastructure provisioning and monitoring. - Work with other IT professionals to optimize data storage and ensure seamless integration of IT systems. - Implement security measures to protect IT infrastructure and ensure compliance with security policies. - Participate in on-call rotations to support Redis infrastructure during off-hours. - Maintain documentation of configurations, standard operating procedures, and best practices. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline. - 3+ years of hands-on experience with Redis in production environments. - Proficiency in scripting languages like Bash, Python, or Go. - Experience with containerized environments and Infrastructure as Code tools. - Familiarity with CI/CD tools, cloud platforms, and networking concepts. - Strong Linux system administration skills. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Ability to work independently and in a collaborative, team-based environment.
