Development Officer - grassroots

Location:

Based in Ahmedabad, with extensive travel across project sites in Gujarat and other states

Role Overview:

MSW-qualified professionals and freshers

Key Responsibilities:

• Community mobilization and on-ground awareness generation
• Coordination of training programs and workshops
• Follow-up with beneficiaries to track progress and provide support
• Assist in implementing livelihood, health, and education-related projects
• Timely reporting, documentation, and data collection from the field
• Liaison with local stakeholders, government functionaries, and partner NGOs

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) or equivalent development studies
• Freshers welcome; prior internship or volunteer experience in the development sector is a plus
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability and willingness to travel extensively in rural and semi-urban areas
• Fluency in Gujarati and Hindi (English proficiency is a plus)
• Comfort with basic reporting and documentation work

Remuneration:

₹20,000 to ₹30,000 per month (based on qualifications and experience)
