Job Description – Course Coordinator

Position: Course Coordinator
Department: Academics – Patient Care Assistant Training Program
Reporting To: Program Director / Centre Head
Location: [Insert location, e.g., Neyyattinkara, Trivandrum]

Objective

To effectively plan, implement, and oversee the Patient Care Assistant (PCA) course, ensuring high-quality education, smooth coordination between students, faculty, and hospitals, and compliance with academic and institutional standards.

Key Responsibilities-Course Administration

  • Coordinate the end-to-end operations of the 6-month PCA course (3 months theory + 3 months practical).
  • Maintain academic schedules, timetables, attendance, and examination calendars.
  • Monitor daily class operations and ensure timely delivery of curriculum.

Student Management

  • Guide students regarding syllabus, assignments, clinical postings, and assessments.
  • Resolve student issues and maintain discipline and professionalism.
  • Ensure student ID issuance, uniform distribution, and certification readiness.

Hospital Coordination

  • Liaise with partnered hospitals for practical training slots and clinical assessments.
  • Coordinate hospital visits, duty rosters, and student feedback during postings.
  • Maintain MOU or tie-up documentation with hospitals.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain records of enrollment, fee collection status, internal marks, and exam results.
  • Prepare regular reports for management and external partners .
  • Oversee certification and placement documentation.

Faculty Support

  • Coordinate with trainers/faculty for class planning and updates.
  • Manage training materials, teaching aids, and lab logistics.

Examinations & Certification

  • Conduct internal assessments, mock tests, and assist with final exams.
  • Ensure compliance with certifying agency (e.g., STED Council) regulations.
  • Assist students in post-course placement processes.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Education: B.Sc Nursing / GNM / Allied Health Sciences / Hospital Administration
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years in training coordination or healthcare academics
  • Skills:
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Basic computer skills (MS Office, Google Sheets, Email)
  • Team handling and multitasking
  • Empathetic and student-friendly approach

Work Schedule

  • 6 days a week (timings as per institute norms)
  • Flexibility required during exams and clinical training transitions

Additional Advantage

  • Knowledge of NSDC course structure
  • Previous hospital or training center coordination experience

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Volunteer

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
