We are looking for a meticulous and technically sound

Confirmist

(Onset Editor) to join our post-production team. The role requires a sharp eye for detail, strong knowledge of editorial pipelines, and hands-on experience working with offline/online edits, conforming, and preparing sequences for VFX and final delivery. The Confirmist will be responsible for ensuring editorial accuracy and consistency from production to post, and for facilitating a smooth handoff between departments.

Key Responsibilities

Conform edits

from offline to online ensuring frame-accurate timelines that match the locked cut.Match and relink media using EDLs, XMLs, and AAFs to high-resolution sources.Handle

plate pulls

and

reference turnovers

for VFX teams.Flag inconsistencies and discrepancies between offline cuts, source footage, and VFX deliveries.Collaborate with editorial, VFX, color, and sound teams to maintain version control.Prepare

shot breakdowns

and ingest media into tracking tools and editorial software.Maintain editorial timelines, markers, metadata, and updated slates.Support onset editorial needs during production including quick cuts, dailies management, or editorial continuity.Ensure all assets meet delivery specs and are backed up and documented correctly.Support DI and final conform/delivery processes.

Key Requirements

2–4 years of experience in an editorial, conform, or VFX pipeline role.Proficiency with tools such as Avid Media Composer, Adobe Premiere, DaVinci Resolve, Flame, or similar.Strong understanding of post-production workflows, codecs, color spaces, and media management.Experience handling EDLs/XMLs/AAFs and online/offline workflows.Meticulous attention to detail and strong communication skills.Ability to work under tight deadlines and coordinate across departments.Familiarity with VFX tracking tools (ShotGrid, Ftrack) is a plus.Onset experience or comfort working alongside the production crew is a bonus.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in animation or VFX-heavy projects.Knowledge of scripting or automation (Python, bash) for editorial tools is a plus.Familiarity with color pipelines and LUT application workflows.
