🛠️ Role: VMC/CNC Shopfloor Supervisor

As a Production Engineer/Supervisor – VMC Shopfloor, you will be responsible for end-to-end operations of CNC/VMC machining. You will supervise a team of operators, ensure efficient planning, execution, and quality control in all machining processes.

🔍 Key Responsibilities

1. Oversee and manage daily CNC/VMC machining operations as per production targets.
2. Plan and execute fixture setups, tool selection, and tool life monitoring.
3. Coordinate with Design and CAM teams to ensure accurate job execution.
4. Conduct quality inspections to ensure parts meet specifications and tolerances.
5. Prepare and manage shift schedules, allocate jobs, and monitor operator performance.
6. Troubleshoot machining issues, optimize process efficiency, and reduce downtimes.
7. Maintain tool inventory, raise procurement requests, and ensure tool availability.
8. Uphold safety, 5S, and continuous improvement practices on the shopfloor.

🎓 Qualifications & Skills

• Diploma (DME/GTTC) or BE (Mechanical) from a recognized institute.
• 2–5 years of hands-on experience in CNC/VMC machining and team supervision.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings, GD&T, and process sheets.
• Sound knowledge of cutting tools, inserts, feeds, and speeds.
• Strong leadership, planning, and problem-solving abilities.
• Familiar with CNC programming basics (CAM knowledge is a plus).
