Position Overview We are seeking a talented Cinematographer to join our creative team. The ideal candidate is passionate about cinematography, possesses a keen eye for detail, and has a proven track record of producing stunning visuals that enhance storytelling. Responsibilities Collaborate with the director, producer, and other key stakeholders to understand project requirements and creative vision. Develop shot lists, storyboards, and visual concepts to effectively communicate the narrative and aesthetic goals of each project. Operate professional camera equipment, including DSLRs, mirrorless cameras, and cinema cameras, to capture high-quality footage. Implement lighting techniques to achieve desired mood, tone, and atmosphere for each scene, both indoors and outdoors. Work closely with the camera team and grips to set up and execute complex camera movements, including dolly shots, crane shots, and steadicam shots. Direct and supervise the camera crew during production, ensuring smooth operation and adherence to safety protocols. Monitor and adjust camera settings, focus, and exposure levels to maintain optimal image quality throughout filming. Collaborate with the post-production team to ensure seamless integration of footage into the final edit, providing input on color grading and visual effects as needed. Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and innovative techniques in cinematography, and incorporate them into your work to push creative boundaries. Maintain and organize equipment inventory, ensuring that all gear is properly maintained, calibrated, and ready for use on set. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Film Production, Cinematography, or a related field (preferred). Proven experience as a cinematographer, with a strong portfolio showcasing your talent and creativity. Proficiency in operating professional-grade camera equipment and accessories. Excellent understanding of cinematography principles, composition, framing, and lighting techniques. Strong technical skills in digital imaging, including knowledge of camera sensors, lenses, and codecs. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced production environment, while also demonstrating leadership and decision-making skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate creative ideas and provide constructive feedback. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and schedules, with a proactive and solutions-oriented mindset. Passion for storytelling and visual storytelling, with a keen interest in exploring new ways to convey emotion and meaning through imagery.
