Backend Developer Intern

About the Role

We are looking for a passionate and motivated Backend Developer Intern who has a strong foundation in Node.js, Express.js, MongoDB, and basic understanding or hands-on experience with AWS. You will work closely with our development team on real-time projects, APIs, cloud integration, and database design.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop RESTful APIs using Node.js and Express.js
• Design and manage MongoDB schemas and collections
• Work on authentication, middleware, and error handling
• Integrate and deploy backend services to AWS (EC2, S3, etc.)
• Collaborate with frontend developers and participate in code reviews
• Write clean, modular, and well-documented code
• Troubleshoot and debug application issues

Required Skills

• Proficiency in JavaScript / TypeScript
• Good understanding of Node.js and Express.js
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of MongoDB
• Familiarity with Git and GitHub
• Awareness or basic working knowledge of AWS services (EC2, S3, IAM, etc.)
• Understanding of RESTful APIs, HTTP methods, and JSON

Preferred Qualifications

• Currently pursuing/completed a degree in Computer Science or related field
• Completed personal/academic projects using the above stack
• Familiarity with Postman, dotenv, and Mongoose ODM
• Knowledge of deployment best practices and environment configuration
