Backed by the culinary legacy of acclaimed restaurant brands like Shanghai Flavours of China Town and Saltanat – The King of Biryani and North Indian , Palate Pleasers is redefining event dining in Kolkata. We are expanding our footprint and are looking for a dynamic Assistant Sales Manager to drive field sales for our outdoor catering operations. Role Description As the Assistant Sales Manager – Outdoor Catering , you will be responsible for generating new business leads, developing client relationships, and closing sales for outdoor catering services. This is a high-energy, field-based role suited for someone who is enthusiastic, target-driven, and passionate about the F&B industry. You’ll be the face of Palate Pleasers , showcasing our catering capabilities to potential clients and ensuring seamless coordination between sales, kitchen, and service teams. Key Responsibilities ● Identify, approach, and close new B2B and B2C catering clients (corporate, event planners, wedding clients, etc.) ● Build and maintain long-term client relationships to drive repeat business ● Conduct field visits to potential event venues, wedding planners, and corporate offices ● Plan and execute sales strategies to meet monthly and quarterly targets ● Prepare customized proposals, presentations, and quotations ● Collaborate with the operations and culinary teams to ensure client requirements are met ● Attend industry events, expos, and networking meets to generate new leads ● Maintain an updated database of leads and customer interactions using CRM tools ● Provide regular sales reports and market feedback to management Qualifications & Requirements ● Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Marketing, or related field ● Minimum 2–5 years of field sales experience, preferably in the food & beverage or hospitality sector ● Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills ● Proven track record of achieving sales targets ● Knowledge of Kolkata’s events and catering market is a strong advantage ● Must be self-motivated, proactive, and ready to work on the go ● Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings as per client needs ● Fluency in English, Hindi, and Bengali required; knowledge of other regional languages is a plus ● Two-wheeler preferred for mobility (travel allowance will be provided) What We Offer ● Competitive salary + performance-based incentives ● Opportunity to work with a growing, reputed hospitality group ● Creative freedom and ownership of sales strategy ● Employee discounts across restaurant brands under Shovona Hospitality ● Exposure to high-profile events and elite clientele To Apply If you're an enthusiastic go-getter with a passion for food and hospitality, we’d love to hear from you!
