Job Description

The Product Owner role focuses on ensuring that HR technology products and solutions align with strategic goals. You will be responsible for translating stakeholder needs into a well-defined and prioritized product backlog. As the Product Owner, you will act as the conduit between Business Stakeholders, System Development Teams, and Product providers to drive the success of the product globally. Your key responsibilities will include: - Developing and articulating a clear product vision aligned with organizational objectives. - Actively engaging with stakeholders to understand their needs, priorities, and challenges. - Guiding development efforts to contribute to the long-term vision and success of the product. - Facilitating communication between development teams and stakeholders. - Maintaining a well-defined and prioritized product backlog based on business value, user feedback, and strategic goals. - Breaking down complex features into actionable tasks and ensuring a clear understanding of development expectations. - Reviewing and owning Licensing for the product. - Conducting Partner Service Reviews quarterly to drive improvement. - Reviewing market trends and benchmark practices. - Maximizing the value addition of annual planned developments and publishing Feature Adoption Health Scorecard quarterly. In terms of Project Management, you will: - Liaise on all projects, actively managing and tracking project initiatives and deliverables. - Work with Project and Service Delivery teams to support project phases and Business as Usual. - Review Capacity vs Project demands for planned project deliveries. - Work in partnership with the CPO Technology team to optimize resource management. - Resolve bottlenecks, provide guidance and SME knowledge for project initiatives. - Provide regular updates on project progress, address queries, and manage expectations. - Transition system development activities seamlessly to business-as-usual. Regarding Risks and Audits, you will: - Be the first point of contact for any product-related risks identified. - Work closely with Service Delivery teams to resolve product-related issues/escalations. - Act as a point of escalation to resolve product-related issues with Providers. - Ensure continuous risk mitigation and process improvement. To be successful in this role, you should have: - 10-12 years of experience as a Product Owner or similar in HRIS/HRIT, with 5+ years of demonstrable experience with Workday HCM. - A minimum bachelor's degree in any stream. - Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and experience with Scrum or Kanban. - Certifications such as PMP, CSM, SAFe are a plus. - Extensive expertise in Stakeholder management. - Excellent communication and Interpersonal Skills. - Initiative in keeping abreast of changing industry practices. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
