Role: Websphere (MQ) Admin


Location: Chennai


Experience Range: 4 to 8 Years



WebSphere:


  • Monitor and support WebSphere Application Server(WAS -8.5)
  • Configure and manage WebSphere cluster, data source and JMS
  • Perform deployment of enterprise application in PROD, QA environments
  • Troubleshoot application server related issues.
  • Apply fixpack and manage SSL certificates.
  • Monitor performance metrics, JVM heap utilization, GC logs etc
  • Strong knowledge of WebSphere ND architecture, profiles, and admin console.
  • Hand-on experience with Linux and shell scripting.
  • Monitoring tool experience with ELK, Grafana .
  • Change management process for planned changes.
  • Knowledge of load balancing, session management and high availability.
  • Work with CI/CD and Config tools like Jenkins,Git, Ansible and Puppet for automated deployments.
  • Patch management and Coordination with infrastructure teams.



MQ:


  • Understanding of IBM MQ concepts – Queue,MQ manager, Channels and listeners.
  • Perform health checks of queue manger and services.
  • Monitor queue depths,channel statuses, and listener availability with Datadog and Grafana.
  • Clean up /Move expired or stuck messages on queue.
  • Monitoring the dash boards and take immediate action and provide the root cause
