UI Developer

As a Senior UI Developer at Assent, you will play a crucial role in shaping the design system and reusable component library that drives the Assent platform. Your deep expertise in Angular and front-end architecture will be utilized to collaborate with product designers and engineers across teams in delivering scalable, accessible, and well-tested UI components. Working in a high-trust CI/CD environment at Assent means that every commit goes directly to production without a separate QA team. Therefore, it is essential that your code is testable, reliable, and production-ready. You will take complete ownership of component quality, utilizing Playwright for end-to-end tests and Storybook for development and documentation. The front-end tech stack at Assent includes Angular 18 in an Nx monorepo, Bootstrap integrated with the custom Meridian design system, Storybook for interactive documentation and dev collaboration, and Playwright for automated end-to-end testing. The emphasis is on maintainability, performance, and thoughtful design to enhance developer velocity and customer experience. As a Senior UI Developer, you will not only write exceptional code but also have the opportunity to contribute to building the user interface of a global platform that enables companies to lead with purpose. Additionally, you will develop core services, write tests, collaborate with product designers on the implementation of the Meridian Design System, champion accessibility and scalability, mentor fellow developers, and uphold high-quality standards in peer reviews. To excel in this role, you should possess 5+ years of front-end development experience, mastery of Angular (12+), proficiency in modern front-end build systems and testing practices, knowledge of RESTful API design, and experience with Git monorepos and related tooling.
