Transportation Service Specialist

Job Description -

On-Time Pick Up Management [R]:

Ensure, monitor and resolve within transportation execution process that all outbound deliveries are planned for execution in-time considering planned GI date and requested delivery date in conjunction with relevant guidelines for vehicle utilization and required service level agreements with customers.

• Ensure no uncovered freight orders after every transportation planning run
  
• Assure perfect tendering of loads to carrier as per agreed business share
  
• Make sure all tendering of load is done and acceptance from carrier is received through Transportation,
  
• Review timely placement of vehicle by carrier as per load schedule
  
• Analyze first time right vehicle placement in line with standard norms (dimension and vehicle quality)
  
• Secure all dedicated vehicle reporting to warehouse basis standard turn around time after each trip
  
• Revalidate all manual route plan created for dedicated van are in line with customer service level agreement
  
• Monitor dedicated van total KM run is updated in log sheet at the end of each shipment completion
  
• Handle escalation in case of non placement and/or rejection of indent due to documentation issues
  
• Advise service specialist to obtain recoverage of load through alternate/backup carriers
  
• Resolve ontime pickup risk by liaisoning with stakeholders and carriers
  
• Escalate and engage Procurement Partner in case of consistent placement failures by a particular carrier
  
• Activate backup vendor in case of rejection/non placement/ or any kind of placement failure post acceptance
  
• Re-evaluate route guide compliance along with optimization and load compliance lead and document exceptions
  
• Ensure that all priority dispatches attached with Hot Load indicators are executed in time
  
• Build strong relationship with vendor partners and customers
  

Load Scheduling [R]:

Ensure and monitor all loads are scheduled for pick-up or delivery at customer end and manage reschedules:

• Check all loads are scheduled for dock appointment (under Nestl controlled environment)
  
• Review the loads and corresponding appointment given to carrier
  
• Monitor and take action on lead time variation and maximize dock utilization
