Trading Lifecycle Associate

As a Senior Associate at JP Morgan Chase, you will be responsible for leading the OTC Derivatives Settlement team, overseeing the end-to-end settlement processes for key derivative products such as IRS, CDS, and ESW. Your role will involve ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards to facilitate timely and accurate settlements. You will play a crucial role in managing the comprehensive settlement processes for OTC Derivative Products, including Interest Rate Swaps (IRS), Credit Default Swaps (CDS), and Equity Swaps (ESW). This position demands operational leadership, relationship management, and expertise in process improvement to guarantee precise and prompt settlements while maintaining adherence to industry standards. Your responsibilities will include ensuring the timely and accurate processing of trades from trade date through to final settlement, consistently meeting or exceeding key performance indicators (KPIs), maintaining a strong focus on service quality and operational control, and updating stakeholders on the status of trades and settlement activities. You will need to identify operational risks early, escalate issues as per defined protocols, and monitor Nostro account breaks efficiently. To excel in this role, you should possess a Bachelor's degree or MBA and have significant exposure to OTC Derivatives settlements, including IRS, CDS, and ESW. A solid understanding of post-trade operations, ISDA documentation, and the trade lifecycle is essential. Proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and basic macros, along with experience using MarkitWire and DTCC, is required. You should also have a strong grasp of derivative products and their application in trading and risk management. Furthermore, you should demonstrate proven ability to manage complex workflows, deliver results under pressure in a fast-paced environment, possess excellent communication skills, and be adept at solving problems and managing stakeholder relationships effectively. Leadership experience, the ability to mentor junior staff, and manage escalations efficiently are also key requirements for this role.
