Role Purpose
UCMDM

6+YRS

Skills required:
Should have a 3 - 6 years IT experience out of which a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience/knowledge in the following tool(s):o Development and support of Asset Discovery tool, in particular MicroFocus UCMDB (Universal CMDB) and UD (Universal Discovery) is a must *o Strong knowledge/experience on RestFul API or Python is essentialo Experience on UCMDB TQL, Integrations, UD Agent based discoveryo Understanding of various discovery modules in UCMDB including cloud discoveries.o Experience on at least one of these tools (Intellij, Git, NodeJS 10 or Maven) is desirable but not essentialo Microsoft Windows server administration 2012R2 / 2014o Microsoft SQL 2014 or above including SSRS / SSISo Microsoft IIS / Tomcat Apacheo Programming language, in particularT-SQL (SP, Functions, complex scripts)PythonBatch,VB.netShell scriptShould have worked on installation, troubleshooting and administration of UCMDB / UD product.Qualification in ITIL V3 Foundation is desirable but not essentialAdaptable and quick learner an advantageExcellent communication and presentation skillsResponsibilities:Responsible for production support for the infrastructure service owned by team.Deliver projects to support technical and business solution individually with minimum guidance.Manage and monitor application infrastructure and ensure application infrastructure operate at optimal level.Participate in and respond reliably to user request/query and support on-call.Understand & analyze business requirements and deliver technical solution.Responsible for day to day enhancement, development and operational support of service management application Infrastructure and tools.Provide technical inputs to streamline or automate process and identify risk appropriately.Person should have working knowledge on configuration, application installation, application upgrade, troubleshooting and administration of some of the above productsResponsible for deployment of infrastructure for above SM tools and good hands on knowledge on server administration, IIS, Microsoft SQL, SQL Scripting, API and programing language.Responsible for day to day Infrastructure or application upgrade task to meet Evergreening requirements.Ability to write scripts to automate server or application management

1. Provide tool design, development and deployment support for the project delivery
a. Interact with the internal project or client to understand the project requirement from a tool perspectiveb. Design the solution keeping in mind the tool requirements, current tools available as well as details on licenses required etc.c. Provide budget and timeline estimates for the tool development/ deployment as requiredd. For any new tool development, identify sources for development (internal or 3rd party) and work with the project managers on the development of the tool keeping in mind the production rollout timelinese. Conduct commercial discussions with the 3rd party vendors for licenses or tool developmentf. Conduct appropriate testing to ensure error free deployment of the tool on the projectg. Ensure deployment of tool on time and within the estimated budget

Mandatory Skills: OpenText uCMDB.
