Role Description

• An Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering significant components of engineering solutions to accomplish business goals efficiently and reliably. Key responsibilities of this role include active participation in the design of their solution components, investigating re-use, ensuring that solutions are fit for purpose, reliable, maintainable, and can be integrated successfully into the overall solution and environment with clear, robust and well tested deployments.
• Engineers actively look for opportunities to improve the availability and performance of components by applying the learning from monitoring and observation, automating towards zero touch, and championing a 'DevOps' mind-set.

Your key responsibilities

• Provide day to day support for a suite of Excel workbooks, Macro based application , Access and Oracle databases for users based in Mumbai, London and Hong Kong that is supporting the Portfolio Management function within DWS Passives / index tracking funds
• Manage incidents to conclusion including establishing workarounds and conduct root cause analysis to establish permanent solutions to re-occurring issues
• Work with users to identify, propose and document improvements to the business process
• Design and develop technical solutions to meet new business requirements in conjunction with the IT team in London
• Work with the IT group to identify, propose and document solutions to improve the stability of the IT platform

Your skills and experience

• 5+ Years of working experience on VBA is must.
• 2+ Years of working with Python 3.6 or above
• Knowledge of Excel-DNA.
• Familiarity with the Atlassian product suite, Jira, Confluence etc.
• Understanding of Agile methodologies
• Code deployment in all environments including PROD.
• Support enhancements on existing code.
• Support QA team with technical understanding and demo.
• Support QA team with fixing any bugs or issues if identified.
• Documentation of the code modules & respective functionality. This will be handed over to L2 for BAU support.
• Data analytics experience is good to have.
