Math Subject Matter Expert (SME)

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, write, and review math content for Grades K–12, including lessons, assessments, practice items, and teacher guides.
• Align content with US curriculum standards (Common Core, state-specific standards, or NGSS where applicable).
• Ensure grade-level appropriateness, conceptual clarity, and pedagogical integrity of all materials.
• Collaborate with instructional designers, editors, and project managers.
• Review and revise existing content based on feedback or updated standards.
• Maintain consistency in tone, format, and instructional approach across grade bands.

Required Qualifications:

• Degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• 3+ years of experience as a math content writer, editor, or curriculum developer.
• Strong understanding of the US K–12 curriculum and math pedagogy.
• Experience developing content for educational publishers or edtech platforms.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Excellent written English and strong communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior teaching or tutoring experience (especially in US or international curriculum contexts).
• Familiarity with digital learning tools and adaptive platforms.
• Experience with standards such as Common Core, TEKS, or other US frameworks.
