Job Description

Your role at NTT DATA will involve driving best practices, innovation, and process improvements at Data Centre locations. This includes setting up and configuring backups, managing backup retention and rotation, handling tape responsibilities, configuring system components, and addressing backup issues 24/7. You will also be responsible for developing and implementing automated solutions, responding to backup issues and outages, providing technical leadership to junior team members, and creating reports for clients and management. Key Responsibilities: - Installation and configuration of data protection server software and components - Setting up data deduplication disk pools and tape backup devices - Establishing replication between locations - Developing automated solutions to support operational objectives - Providing recommendations to improve design and reduce costs - Participating in 24x7 on-call rotations for storage backup support - Providing technical leadership and training to junior team members - Monitoring backup schedules, tape libraries, and performance parameters - Troubleshooting backup alerts and performing data restorations - Managing policies, LUNs, licenses, SAN switches, and RAID groups - Conducting firmware upgrades, SAN switch configurations, and storage space management - Performing root cause analysis for incidents and suggesting solutions NTT DATA is a global innovator of business and technology services, serving 75% of the Fortune Global 100.
