Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Accountant to join our fast paced Finance team. The successful candidate will be closely working with the Finance Manager and will be responsible for leading and overseeing the entire Accounts Payable for the company. The candidate should be having prior experience in handling the entire creditor/ payables of the company and should be capable of independently working and meeting the high output expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the entire payable/creditor reconciliation Team and participate in day to day accounts payable activities.
• Oversee invoice entry and record keeping, ensuring timely Vendor invoice processing, accuracy and payment in compliance with financial policies.
• Deep dive and explain significant movements in account balances by way of a commentary.
• Prepare and review in cycle and out of cycle payment runs for accuracy, payment terms and proper approval.
• Ensure that all invoices are punched under proper accounting head as per the accounting standards.
• Review and analyze invoice volumes, ageing, follow up on hold and drive process improvements.
• Ensuring proper rates and quantity check in invoice processing.
• Keep a track that invoices are as per the P.O. requirements.
• Should be a TDS expert.
• Reconcile the entire accounts payable ledgers and responsible for resolving entire escalated vendor or internal queries.
• Well-versed in cost accounting and monitoring the manufacturing costs with recommendations to management for cost saving strategies.
• Responsible for tracking and managing the job work cost and closure of the ledgers
• Responsible for periodic documented Vendor ledger reconciliations

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Cost Accountant or Masters or Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, finance or other related field.
• Experience: 6+ years in Accounts Payable
• 3+ year experience in Supervisory Role.
• Specific Cost Accounting Knowledge is a must.
• Ability to identify and prioritize issues and be accountable for resolution.
• Ability to lead a team.
