Software Development Engineer I - Full Stack Technologies

As a member of our team, your responsibilities will include designing, implementing, and delivering user-centric features that span across frontend, backend, and database systems, all while following guidance. You will be tasked with defining and deploying RESTful/GraphQL APIs and creating efficient, scalable database schemas. Furthermore, you will be expected to construct reusable and maintainable frontend components using contemporary state management practices. Your role will also involve developing backend services in Node.js or Python, while adhering to clean-architecture principles. Ensuring code quality and reliability through the writing and upkeep of unit, integration, and end-to-end tests will be a crucial aspect of your work. Additionally, you will containerize applications, configure CI/CD pipelines for automated builds and deployments, and uphold secure coding practices, accessibility standards (WCAG), and SEO fundamentals. Collaboration with Product, Design, and engineering teams to grasp and execute feature requirements effectively will be an essential part of your role. The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 1 year of experience in constructing full-stack web applications. Proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3 (Flexbox/Grid) is required. Advanced familiarity with React (Hooks, Context, Router) or an equivalent modern UI framework is essential. Practical experience with state management patterns such as Redux, MobX, or custom solutions is necessary. Strong backend skills in Node.js (Express/Fastify) or Python (Django/Flask/FastAPI) are expected. Expertise in designing REST and/or GraphQL APIs and integrating them with backend services is a must. A solid understanding of MySQL/PostgreSQL and some knowledge of NoSQL stores like Elasticsearch and Redis is preferred. Proficiency in using build tools (Webpack, Vite), package managers (npm/Yarn), and Git workflows is necessary. The ability to write and maintain tests with tools like Jest, React Testing Library, Pytest, and Cypress is advantageous. Familiarity with Docker, CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins), and basic cloud deployments is a plus. A product-first mindset, coupled with strong problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills, will be highly valued.
