We are a fast-growing and independent news organisation known for our impactful journalism and sharp digital storytelling in the advertising, marketing and media business domain. 

As we expand our digital footprint, we are hiring our first dedicated Social Media Executive to help grow our social media presence and build an active, loyal audience across platforms.

Key responsibilities:

• Develop and execute daily content plans across platforms like Instagram, X (Twitter), LinkedIn, Facebook, and YouTube Shorts.

• Increase followers, engagement, and reach using creative content formats, trending topics, and growth hacks.

• Write compelling, concise, and witty copy tailored to each platform.

• Create basic designs using Canva and/or Photoshop (Reels thumbnails, quote cards, breaking news graphics, etc.).

• Edit short-form videos or reels using editing tools.

• Track engagement metrics and suggest strategies to improve performance.

• Stay up to date with social media trends, algorithm changes, meme culture, and viral formats.

Ideal candidate:

• Has 1–2 years of hands-on social media experience (news/media or content brand preferred).

• Strong grasp of platform-specific best practices and timing strategies.

• Knows what makes content go viral and can write sharp captions and hooks.

• Can juggle breaking news, scheduled content, and audience engagement.

• Familiar with basic video editing and visual design.

• Highly motivated and willing to grow with a small but dynamic team.
