What We’re Looking For:

experienced sports writers (2+ years)

If you live and breathe American sports and are ready to bring sharp, fresh narratives to the forefront—this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cover breaking news, trending stories, and in-depth features across American sports (NBA, NFL, MLB, NHL, NCAA, etc.).
• Own and lead daily content output with sharp headlines, engaging intros, and narrative-rich articles.
• Drive traffic with SEO and social-first content approaches while maintaining journalistic standards.
• Ideate and pitch content formats beyond traditional articles—listicles, opinion pieces, fan-based reactions, and more.
• Collaborate with editors and audience teams to align content with audience preferences and platform trends.
• Mentor junior writers and contribute to overall content quality and consistency.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of writing experience

  in sports media, ideally with a

  foreign/global digital sports publication

  .
• Strong command over American sports culture and news cycles.
• Portfolio demonstrating strong editorial judgment, storytelling, and audience understanding.
• Familiarity with SEO, content performance tools (GA4, GSC), and CMS platforms.
• Ability to work independently in a deadline-driven remote environment.
• Flexibility to work evening/night shifts (US time zone coverage).

Good to Have:

• On-ground reporting or social media content experience.
• Video script writing or podcast involvement.
• Past experience with sports content strategy or editorial leadership.
