Senior Technician / Machine Maintenance

Job Summary:
The Senior Technician is responsible for supervising and ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of the Water Treatment Plant, including both Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) and Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) systems. This role involves overseeing routine processes, troubleshooting complex issues, ensuring compliance with environmental standards, and guiding junior technicians in day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the operation and monitoring of ETP/STP equipment and related treatment processes.
• Conduct regular inspections and advanced-level troubleshooting of pumps, motors, blowers, dosing systems, and control panels.
• Supervise chemical handling and dosing procedures to ensure optimal treatment efficiency.
• Guide and train operators in standard operating procedures and safety protocols.
• Collect and analyze samples; interpret water quality test results and take corrective actions.
• Maintain detailed logs, operational reports, and ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
• Coordinate with maintenance teams for preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Implement and uphold strict safety and hygiene protocols.

Qualifications:

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on experience in water/wastewater treatment operations.
• Strong technical knowledge of water treatment processes, equipment, and safety standards.
• Familiarity with SCADA/PLC-based control systems is preferred.
• Certification in wastewater or water treatment is an added advantage.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work in operational environments, including exposure to chemicals and varying weather conditions.
• Capable of lifting and operating heavy machinery when required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹28,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
