Senior Manager Purchase Casting PR 003

As a Purchase Department professional, you will be responsible for various key tasks including the identification and induction of new suppliers to enhance the capacity of WCB castings, Mn Steel Castings, Forgings, and Machining. You will also be involved in cost estimation (Should costing) for Steel and Mn Steel castings, forging, and Machining parts, as well as negotiating with suppliers for cost, delivery terms, and freight. Your role will require you to map and enhance the capacity for WCB castings, Mn Steel Castings, Forgings, and Machining commodities based on the given forecast. You will be implementing the KANBAN System with Casting, forging, and machining suppliers and coordinating with the Engineering team to ensure the timely implementation of Engineering changes. Furthermore, you will be involved in new part development of WCB castings, Mn Steel Castings, Forgings, and Machining commodities, as well as identifying and executing cost optimization projects to achieve cost-saving realization. Additionally, you will be responsible for organizing supplier meets and performance awards. The ideal candidate for this role should have a minimum of 15 years of experience in Procurement, possess the ability to effectively influence stakeholders, demonstrate proficiency and comfort with numbers, and exhibit effective communication (verbal, written, and presentation) and analytical skills. Proficiency in SAP and MS Office, as well as strong negotiation skills, are also required. This position is located in Coimbatore and requires a qualification of B.E Mechanical.
