Senior Fast API Python Developer / Architect

You are an experienced Senior FastAPI Python Developer / Architect who will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance web applications and APIs. Your expertise in Python, FastAPI, and microservices architecture, along with a deep understanding of cloud-based, scalable, and secure backend solutions, will be crucial for this role. As a leader, you will be involved in architectural decision-making, performance optimization, and technical mentoring. Your key responsibilities will include architecting, designing, and developing scalable and high-performance FastAPI-based web applications and RESTful APIs. You will lead the design and implementation of a microservices-based architecture for large scale applications and ensure best practices in API design, security, and performance optimization. Managing asynchronous APIs, integrating them with databases, caching systems, and third-party services, and enforcing code quality, maintainability, and scalability through best practices will also be part of your role. In addition, you will provide technical leadership and mentorship to the development team, collaborate with frontend developers, DevOps engineers, and other stakeholders, and implement authentication, authorization, and security best practices using OAuth2, JWT, and API Key-based mechanisms. Optimizing database schemas and queries for SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis) databases, conducting code reviews, unit testing, and integration testing, and staying up-to-date with FastAPI, Python, and modern backend development trends are also essential aspects of this role. Required Skills and Qualifications: - Bachelors/Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. - 5+ years of experience in backend development with Python. - 3+ years of experience specifically with FastAPI. - Strong expertise in asynchronous programming, microservices architecture, and API development. - Experience with SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis) databases. - Deep understanding of authentication mechanisms like OAuth2, JWT, and API security best practices. - Expertise in Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines. - Strong background in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud). - Experience with scalability, performance optimization, and caching techniques. - Hands-on experience with unit testing frameworks (pytest, unittest) and CI/CD pipelines. - Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle complex challenges. - Ability to lead, mentor, and provide technical guidance to a team. Preferred Skills: - Experience with Celery or other task queues for background processing. - Knowledge of WebSockets and real-time applications. - Experience in event-driven architectures and message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar). - Experience with GraphQL (optional but a plus). - Previous experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment. - Contribution to open-source projects or personal FastAPI projects is highly regarded.,
