I. PURPOSE OF THE JOB As SAP Test Manager at Bekaert, you will help the team to test software, integrated systems, to ensure that our systems and projects are working as designed. You will mentor and coach other QA engineers and engineering team members in quality assurance practices, skills, and tools! The SAP QA Test Lead is responsible for end-to-end QA and testing delivery on an SAP Implementation project. This position owns: Test planning. Test design. Test execution implementing SAP Activate methodology to ensure quality of delivery. II. ROLE DESCRIPTION As SAP Test Manager, you help different teams and tracks in leading IT and Digital implementations for the QA Testing domain and be a crucial member of the delivery teams. As an SAP Test Manager, you: Assisting with coordination of QA resources across multiple workstreams. Planning and delivery of testing landmarks for projects Solving issues (in QA or on live) as assigned. Identifying, designing, and assisting with implementation of QA automation. Performing manual test cases, defect logging and initial defect triage. Crafting and coordinating technical and user documentation. Supervising onshore/offshore QA team and 3rd party vendors, by providing oversight and direction to the teams, coordination of testing activities, workload/delegation, timelines etc. Highly Proficient in standard SAP processes w.r.t understanding the requirement documentations, process flows, RICEFWs Build kick-off decks, plans- Build Test cases (OTC, PTP, RTR) working with Functional leads and Test Closure reports. Develop test plans, test cases, traceability and test scripts based on functional and technical specifications to ensure the quality and reliability of SAP modules. Lead and guide the SAP testing team in planning, executing, and leading comprehensive testing strategies for SAP implementations, upgrades, and enhancements. Work with other SAP/non-SAP application teams during Integration testing cycles into the final solution to accommodate activities needed for the successful delivery of the S/4 Hana Coordinate and plan UAT engaging business partners and SMEs during UAT preparation and execution. Lead test data creation, maintenance, and validation to simulate real-world scenarios and accurately assess system performance. Coordinate triage activities for sprints and SIT/UAT cycles with respective teams. Create and produce Test status reports for design, execution, and defects daily. Conduct risk assessments and prioritize testing efforts to mitigate the risks which helps in testing all Business Processes and functionalities are thoroughly validated. Foresee any issue and call out to Project stakeholders in a timely manner. As the test lead, work closely with the PMO and Program/Project Managers, QA manager, business analyst, QA analyst, SI (Implementation partner) Team and other collaborators to ensure all the test activities take place based on project / other needs to ensure critical work and timelines are met. Participate and lead Sprint Testing as needed for PROD application support and plan the Sprint regression as needed. Guide and orchestrate the daily operational activities of the SAP ERP platform, including performance, reliability, availability, maintenance windows, upgrades, archiving and early watch monitoring. Maintain an active engagement on the SAP support channel, following up on partners and on SAP. Play an active role in the SAP audit and license count. Work in collaboration with Solution Architects to define architecture design and review low level design and effort estimates. You are the main point of contact for the technical team Lead geographically distributed teams, monitor risks/mitigation strategies with stakeholders and strive for improving efficiency of the solutions Ensure technical documentation is created and kept up to date with the as-built situation Lead the analysis of the current environment to detect critical deficiencies, legacy, and technical debt, and implement solutions for improvement. Lead diagnosis and troubleshooting efforts with team for critical and repetitive issues occurring in the systems. Keep IT Digital solutions up to date with industry trends and developments, assuring backward compatibility, maintainability of applications on latest versions. ESSENTIAL SKILLS COMPETENCIES Implement standard processes demonstrating Activate methodology used by SAP in similar projects consistently and efficiently to implement SAP S/4Hana Writing Testing documentation such as Test strategy, Test Scope, and Test plan documents Efficient operation and continuous improvement of testing processes and practices Familiar with testing tools such as Tricentis, UI Path. Building and maintaining testing libraries to ensure libraries are kept up to date Involvement in full SDLC to identify QA needs, constraints, and dependencies early on. This role requires SAP S/4 HANA testing hands-on and leading responsibilities experience. Solid understanding of agile methodologies and capability of supporting agile teams by providing advice and guidance on opportunities, impact, and risks, taking account of technical and architectural debt Articulate complex technical issues, share ideas, participate in peer-reviews/design review boards, and exhibit strong listening skills. Be able to collaborate with various cross functional teams, internal/external technical experts, Architects, other Technical Leads, Systems Analysts, and 3rd parties to drive technical solutions. Bachelors degree in computer science, information-technology, system analysis or a related study, or equivalent experience 8+ years of relevant software development quality assurance experience and writing manual test case, test plans, and test execution in S4 HANA SAP implementation projects At least 6+ years of SAP Testing experience across workstreams and minimum 4+ years of Test lead experience in ERP S/4 HANA implementation projects efficiently. Very strong written and verbal communication with active listening skills and the ability to tightly collaborate with a wide variety of technical and non-technical personnel via various communication channels. Independent problem-solving/analytical skills with good hands-on and participate in any phase of testing (test design/execution) when situation arises. Extensive experience in leading QA (and UAT) in fast paced S/4 implementations. Self-motivated and proactive individual who works well independently or as part of a team. Familiar with Agile methodology and Sprint ceremonies.
