Our Retina Department manages a high volume of complex retinal cases, and as part of our continued expansion, we are seeking a passionate Vitreo-Retina Surgeon to join our team of experts.🔶 Position SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Vitreo-Retina Surgeon who can independently manage medical and surgical retina cases while contributing to comprehensive ophthalmic care, including phacoemulsification cataract surgeries. This position is ideal for recently trained retina fellows or professionals with 1–2 years of experience seeking to grow within a supportive and advanced clinical environment.🔶 Key ResponsibilitiesDiagnose and manage retinal diseases including diabetic retinopathy, retinal vein occlusions, macular holes, retinal detachment, CNVM, and other vitreoretinal disorders.Perform and interpret diagnostic investigations: FFA, OCT, B-scan, OCT-A.Execute retina laser procedures (PRP, focal laser), intravitreal injections (anti-VEGF, steroids), and complex vitreo-retinal surgeries (pars plana vitrectomy, membrane peeling, tamponade, etc.).Independently perform phacoemulsification cataract surgeries.Participate in retina camps, rural outreach programs, and early detection initiatives.Collaborate with retina counselors, optometrists, OT teams, and general ophthalmology consultants for seamless patient care.Contribute to academic activities such as case presentations, CMEs, and junior doctor training.
🔶 Required Qualifications
MS/DNB in Ophthalmology from a recognized institution.Fellowship in Vitreo-Retina from a reputed center (mandatory).Minimum 1–2 years of hands-on experience in retina procedures preferred.Proficiency in phacoemulsification cataract surgeries (must handle routine cases independently).Familiarity with EMR systems and ability to work in a structured clinical environment.🔷 Freshers WelcomeRecently completed retina fellows with good surgical skills and a keen interest in advancing under experienced mentorship are strongly encouraged to apply.
